Why not get a call blocker
Perhaps the OP, like me, is with Virgin Media and refuses to pay £2.50 per month for caller ID.

I just wind them up or tell them to !!!! off depending on the mood I'm in
over 73 but not over the hill.
  • Its either "Sorry we have got them" or Sorry, never buy anything forom cold callers.

Virgin Media will give caller ID free if you haggle.

Tried that a while ago after I got my speed increased, a new modem and free night time and weekend calls.

Was paying £32 a month for phone and broadband, now £20.10.

I also pay £144 in advance.

I was told I would have to pay but to try again in a year..

The key to getting it free is that almost every other phone company gives caller ID free, so when making the comparison with x, y or z phone company in the haggle, use that fact.

My caller id is free with my sky package . One of the problems with these automated calls is that part of the call goes onto the 1571 message . We don't pick the phone up if we don't recognise the number or if it is unknown or withheld but still end up having to delete all these blooming part messages.
I'm hoping they die off as it seems to have spiked up over the last 2-3 weeks .

Please shove your boilers and solar panels where the sun don't shine asap .

"Shove your solar panels where the sun don't shine" - that's very funny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
