Porting number from EE and back to EE

I need to port my existing EE number to another network and back to EE - what's the cheapest way to do this?

I just need to go to a PAYG network but they all want a minimum of £10 top-up - anyone know of any cheaper way to port to a PAYG network?

thanks

So long as you're willing to wait a couple of days, the cheapest way is to order a free SIM card from one of the networks' websites. They will send out a pre-connected SIM with a number already active and no credit. Three took couple of days to send mine out. Your number wouldn't port until Monday/Tuesday now anyway so worth a go.

For me it worked free on following paygo networks

    Virgin mobile
    lebara mobile
    sainsbury mobile
    EE requires topup
    o2 requires topup atleast £10
    Not sure about vodafone.
