Granny Annexe - which company to use?

We am looking to get a Granny Annexe build in our back garden for our Mother-in-law.

I have been looking at the companies Garden Spaces UK Ltd - Granny Annexe and Ihus Projects Ltd.

they do everything from beginning till end, sounds very good, but is any body out there who actually dealt with these companies?

Many thanks !

Good sized garden shed should do the trick, for about £500.

:o:o:o:o, sorry, I'll get mi coat;)

Being serious, you might shave a good bit of that cost provided you know what you want by just employing a good general builder, so called specialists aren't always the most cost effective option.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • We could do, but as we have done an extension ourselfs on our own home, its very very stressfull to sort out everything and I mean everything. We sorted out all the trades and material etc etc to save money. However will never do that again.
Thats why having one company doing everything would be ideal, but need opinions if they are actually that good.

I meant their mark up for it.

Get your own architect to design it and apply for planning permission and then find a good builder to do it and manage his trades.

You'll see change out of the 50k.

Is that your budget or their quote?

I think you're being over generous with the shed there.

Sits back and waits for a newbie to arrive with glowing references...

I too would go the general builder route. You can get plenty of local references.

So you could get more for 50k or the same for less cause budget isn't an issue?

Looks like you've already decided to go with them unless you hear his had they are.

Glossy brochures quoting prices, who do you think pays for them?

Thing is about building, how can they quote a price without knowing the lay of your land? They must quote for worst case and make a tidy profit if they don't encounter problems.
  • They do free survey and qoute etc

Anybody out there got experience with Garden Spaces UK Ltd - Granny Annexe and Ihus Projects Ltd??

    Much appriciated.
