I simply put my fingers in my ears and hum very loudly - and switch off my hearing aid - when anyone mentions the C-word.:rotfl:
Major "shopping" expedition to the pharmacy yesterday - 5 items for me, and 3 for Mr LW. Luckily I have a prescription pre-payment certificate, and Mr LW doesn't pay because he's over 60. Poor pharmacist certainly earned her pay, sorting us out, though!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Candlelight
It does get tiring and we are not even half way yet as it is seven weeks in total. Could have done without DH waking early and turning on his electric shaver next to me - especially when I found it was half past four in the morning and I could not get back to sleep
Had the fastest shower and shampoo I had had in my life this morning before setting off this morning.
Having dusted baked fish tonight with HM cauli cheese and HM potato wedges with the offer of chicken and mushrooms as a sort of stir fry thingy for anyone not fancying fish.
Hugs to all especially nmlc, Molly. LW and Mr LW and Judi' dd."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Afternoon all
Couldn't post this morning as I had no internet access.
Lily, I hope you feel better soon
Molly did you get your Dads situation sorted.
LW, I went to the pharmacy y'day to buy the dressings for hubby's toes (he's having 3 nails removed along with the nail beds on Tuesday next week) £26 for the dressings & that's only for the first couple of days.
I'm off to the hospital on Monday, so no work for me, I have to go to the eye dept, then get my hearing aids repaired & drop some stuff off at pathology, what an exciting day it will be!
Have a good evening all
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Redruby hope you can celebrate your memories of your dad today xx
I must confess to having most of my Xmas shopping
Dd1 attended the funeral today of one of her best friends who had hung themselves at the start of term, her uni group and her tutors attended , she said they were all in floods of tears but the service was lovely. There were so many people there they had speakers to relay it outside . Hopefully she can settle back down to her studies now.
Dd2 is settling in much better at uni, she is still homesick but coping . She has just rung to say she has met one of the vets on the the 'young vets' tele programme :j:D
Done the food shopping this morning and should have enough meals for the month :j, I ve made a base mince to turn into spag Bol and chilli too.
Washing done and dried on line ( just in the nick of time before a big fat shower decended
)
Chicken in a cream sauce and rice for dinner
Have a lovely evening everyone (((hugs))) to all who need xx0 -
Hi chums I am drain free
:):) and feel slightly more comfortable at least.Nurse gave me a pamphlet about a 'pamper day' at the local hospital for 1st November so I phoned and booked myself on it, I feel in need of a bit of pampering I think
:)
Also she has referred me to another Therapy place in Sheppey for some treatments that are apparently free for referrals.
Just going off to bed for a read and relax
Nice not to be so 'tied' down at least
Cheers chums
