I don't think the teacher is forcibly weak she might have realised that kids wanted to take pictures and it was ok to do so. Where she failed is by not talking to OP's son and friends and acknowledging they had followed the rules and should be commended for it and maybe provide some sort of reward or compensation for it.0

She also got a break-time one, from her form teacher for not having got a parent to sign her planner, This was the weekend me and husband were ill with bad ear infections and signing our name wasn't a priority in our minds.
We used to get threatened with detentions for this too (MANY years ago!)
I assume your child has not got their copy of either of your signatures down to a tee then?

More like it is a recurring theme through life.
Life isn't always fair
Sometimes your efforts are ignored and others who you see as less deserving get the prize and you get nothing.
We all want to protect our kids so these kind of injustices rankle though.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

It was the end of her first week there, so not something she'd ever had to think about before. We were ill so never gave it any thought. After this I pointed out to her that her initial and surname is identical to her dads, who has an easy signature and rarely signs anything for school so there isn't a lot of evidence of how he'd sign his name and to work it out for herself.;)PenguinOfDeath wrote: »We used to get threatened with detentions for this too (MANY years ago!)

And when the precedent is set and they recognise her signature as being the 'genuine' article (because it's all they've ever seen), you'll realise that you have given her a potentially misuseable power. :rotfl:
Worked for me throughout high school, anyhow.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
