sure, if they allow it, and TSB presently still do

try when you are not logged in. Clear your browsing history and cookies. Try a different browser. Although depending on the current status of your first application, you might have to wait until this has been fully processed before you can apply for a second account.

Hmm, I got this when I trued this morning of my mum's PC.

    There's a problem...

72005 : According to our records, you have already applied for a current account with us recently. Unfortunately, we're not able to consider another application at the moment.

When you applied, did it say they were processing your application, or did it give you your new account number and sort code straight away?
If it was processing your application, then it says to not apply for another current account until the first has been processed...
'You don't need to do anything now. Please remember not to apply for another one of our current accounts while you’re waiting to hear as we won’t be able to accept another application.'
Apparently, as long as you have applied before today, even if your account hasn't been opened yet you will still be able to apply for the second.

With my application yesterday I was accepted straight away, and so opened the 2nd account afterwards. However my partners account said processing, so I have been unable to open the 2nd account for him.
    Hope that helps...

Hi, just a quick question as it ties in with this post!
I am looking to open a TSB a/c as like people have said the current a/c's have better rates than savers.
If I set up a TSB a/c with £1,500 and then set up a standing order to run £500.00 in to it and then back out to my current a/c which my wages are paid in to every month would this be right to get the interest?

I have a couple of grands savings that currently earn pittance so I thought I may aswell put them to use earning me some extra. Thank you :)

That will do it. Don’t forget to set statements and correspondance to paperless. See T&C’s.

That will do it, but why not have £2000 in the account? Move £500 in and £508.xx out each month.
