Unlocking the W610i Silver UK edition PAYG from Orange.

Hello,

Has anyone managed to successfully unlock and unbrand their W610i Silver UK edition PAYG from Orange. If so where from. I've looked at DaVinci and Wotan but not sure if they support the uk version.

I am a complete newbie to unlocking and unbranding phones. I would like the silver W610i as
my second phone but I do not like to be on Orange. Nowhere else seem to sell the silver version sim free. Orange has an exclusive on the silver edition.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any replys.

i made a debranding guide for SE phones here

wotan will work with w610i's. it will also upload flash lite menus like the ones in this post.

i think the cheapest way of unlocking this is to pay orange £20 as im not sure if SEtool and cruiser support unlocking the w610i yet

debranding using wotan took about 10mins to debrand a w810i

It depends on the security certificate, if it's CID52, then it is a pain and an expensive one at that. If it is CID51 or lower then it will cost about £10-£12 to have it done.

You can use the Davinciteam server software to check which version you have. gaming_guy will be along shortly to give you the link, I have it somewhere but can't find it as I don't use it myself as I use SETool rather Davinci.
