  • I love the look of the Cactus...

    ...just not the price.

I've test driven the 82ps petrol cactus, it was OK but the 110 is supposed to be the pick of the engines.

If you're in a rush to get a car, you might be disappointed by the Cactus, I was told if I ordered one by last week it might have arrived in time for Christmas, with a heavy emphasis on might.

Surprised about the price comment, if you don't go crazy on spec you can get the 110 petrol for around £16k, which is cheaper than similar specs in similar cars.

Thats because they are Vauxhalls and built here in Luton!

Well, the Trafic is... isn't the Master built in Spain?

Also, IIRC, both the Trafic (Vivaro/Primastar) and Master (Movano/??star) were both designed and engineered by Renault commercials, so they're French vans, built in England and Spain.

Let's not forget that vans are engineered to take more abuse, and they're fundamentally simpler (in most cases, I know there are 'fancy' vans) than cars, especially in terms of electronic systems.

Name any car and you will get many that hate it and many that love it.
I could always start a good argument when I was at work, just by saying. "I fancy buying such and such a car".
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
