How/where do I buy replacement charger for Asus netbook??

  • Then why does it say "laptop" not "netbook"? And why doesn't it have "X101CH" anywhere?
And where do I get the power cord bit?

    1. The one to which I linked is the original charger.

    2. See post #10.
  • Also I am a bit confused - previously you were recommending getting one made by another company, yet you're saying that one made by the company Asus recommend isn't ok? Why is that please?

Please stop...I'm trying to prepare dinner. if you are happy with the one that you have, then keep it. I'm sure that it will work.

Right. So what you're saying is, you know that this charger is the right one, even though it specifies it's for laptops, and doesn't say the model number of my netbook, but a completely different one? Cos you know the techie stuff is the same?

Would any old 3-pin power cord be ok with it? As I need this bit too.

Cooking pasta is time critical... :)

You wrote that you had already purchased the 2 Power....

Well I've ordered it, don't have it now. Will cancel the order if I can get better one though. I'm sorry I dont mean to bother you, I'm not trying to annoy you, just trying to understand, you didn't make it clear why it doesn't say "netbook" or the model number in your original reply, and I didn't want to buy the wrong thing. Also when I asked if it sounded ok you said no... so I thought you knew they were a terrible company or something I didn't know.
  • Ps. Enjoy your pasta. Computer stuff is so frustrating, spent my whole afternoon trying to sort this!
    Thanks though :)

If you want the original part, buy mine. If you want a 'replacement', buy yours. Don't over-complicate it.

It's not me over complicating it! It just seems weird/silly to buy something that says it's for laptops when I need it for a netbook. Also to buy something that doesn't specify the model of my netbook. To the un-initiated that seems like a glaring hint it's the wrong product - hence why I was trying to understand.

Also, if I ask "does this one sound ok?" a few posts after being advised to buy a replacement, to get the answer "no" implies it's incompatible/will break/explode/whatever.

    Thanks though
