How/where do I buy replacement charger for Asus netbook??

This is ridiculous. Trying to buy a charger (whole thing, from plug socket to netbook) for an Asus Eee PC X101CH.
I've spent an hour and a half attempting to do this - can only find fake/replacement ones, or the charger without the power cord. Have phoned Asus who tell me to use their website. It's not on there, and the other Asus supplier website (eu. one) seems to have weird looking things that don't look like the original.
I do not understand - why is this so hard and where on earth can I buy one?

Nothing wrong with a replacement. ASUS probably don't make it themselves anyway. Just search by the part number.0

The reviews on replacements are dodgy, also a replacement charger killed my laptop's battery. Asus must make them cos it came with one?NiftyDigits wrote: »Nothing wrong with a replacement. ASUS probably don't make it themselves anyway. Just search by the part number.
How do I find the part number?
ETA: sorry if I'm being thick, I just have never had so much trouble trying to buy something that should be so simple!0 -
I don't have an Acer, but on my chargers (Compaq and Acer) there's a sticker showing input/output voltage, model and serial numbers - normally tiny print (and loads of icons telling you not to bin or use it in the bath etc).0

Liteon made the charger for my ACER Netbook. ACER didn't make it. Just buy a quality replacement. The part number will be written on the old charger.
Yours is probably made by DELTA. Should be no more than £10.0 -
Ended up getting a 2-power one...? Does that sound ok?
Thanks...

No, it doesn't....0 -
Why not?NiftyDigits wrote: »No, it doesn't....
The one in the link doesn't specify ok for my netbook...?
ETA: need the other bit that plugs in to the wall socket too. Apparently 2-power are recommended by Asus...0 -
Part Number, specification, connector size....and original, as you specified.0

Not sure if this is a question or an answer to mine? I don't have the original charger anymore.NiftyDigits wrote: »Part Number, specification, connector size....and original, as you specified.
(1) What is wrong with the 2-power charger if they are recommended by Asus? (Can't find an original so seemed next best thing)
(2) The link you sent is for a laptop charger, not netbook, and it doesn't specify my netbook type (Eee PC X101CH) so how are you so sure it's the right one? Also I need the power cord bit that plugs into the wall too.
Again, sorry if I'm being thick!0
