    Echo the above. Caveat emptor.

Advise your parents to stop all contact with this chap. If he continues to harass them then contact the police.

  • an MOT is only valid , as the car is road worthy until it is driven away from the garage, (full stop).

what DID he expect for £400 , a car with a 12 month warranty?

the car was sold as seen and there is no comeback , the guy is a chancer ,

do not bother communicating with him

    Thanks everyone.
We are drafting a text message back to say sorry to hear about your troubles but take it up with garage that did the MOT.
Then we will ignore further messages/contact police.

Just tell him to foxtrot oscar. The car is nothing to do with you anymore. Good luck.

If theres a problem genuinely then would you not have notcied it prior to selling it? And if a dodgy mot has been issued then the vosa or dvsa whatever theyre being called this week, chappy will sort it. Never been your problem if it even exists.

Really disappointed with that response from an MOT centre. There is only one conclusion, they are at it and it is one to avoid in the future. DVSA should have been involved.

What do you mean by "They are at it"? Just that they didn'tt bother testing it properly or something else? Seems very strange they would pay out,

Any serious business who are challenged over their veracity would first of all ask to see the evidence, examine it in line with their own standards and then make a judgement.
This garage appear to have Stevie Wonder as the NT, and know it; be in the habit of being slack on standards, and know it; or their coats are already on a shaky peg with DVSA and are wanting to conceal evidence of further wrongdoing.
Jumping at the chance of a buy-back means only one thing. It is a garage to be avoided in future.
