    The DWP don't operate PAYE for benefits, they never have, thats why Child benefit is done the way it is, thats why JSA/ESA is included in the tax code when a claimant returns to work, thats why the State pension is included as a deduction in the code..

    Whichever way the rulemakers decide to claw back the tax etc you can guarantee it will be vastly complicated.

    ....And will cost them a whole lot more to administer than the pittance that they will save - meaning that it will fail but the government will never admit to having another failure on their hands leaving the less well off/disabled being the losers .....
