Yodel Signature Fraud (package from house of Fraser)

Hi,
So I ordered some stuff from House of Fraser and it didn't arrive.
Called HoF and they said someone, using my name, signed for it.
I asked for the signature, and it is just a scribble nothing I have ever used. So someone has "signed" my name accepting delivery
HoF have been pretty pathetic TBH, totally useless. I do a lot of online shopping and I guess I am just too used to Amazon and their brill service.
Anyway I have claimed for a chargeback through my credit card and complained to HoF.
Is there anything else I should do?
Cheers

How much was it? If <£100 then chargeback is the right thing, although you may have to wait 15 days and claim for non-delivery.0

was 180. Why does the value matter?
The card company, Amex, were happy to put the transaction into dispute while they investigate. So I won't be paying it until its sorted.
Thanks0 -
£100 or more then you can look at Section 75 protection (which makes the credit provider jointly liable with the seller for the provision of the contract). This is part of the Consumer Credit Act and so is enshrined in law, whereas chargeback is subject to T&Cs of the debit card provider.
That said, I'm not sure if the CCA applies for charge cards (assuming that's the type of Amex card you have).0 -
Thanks its an Amex credit card not charge.
So I have disputed the transaction. Should I call them to ask about Section 75?
Cheers0 -
Section 75 will only apply if the price of the individual items ordered was over £100 each. If there were two items priced at £90 then it won't apply. (unless the two items are part of a set).0

The items get delivered to the house not the person, they will not care about a signature just the fact it was delivered, your claim will fail.0

Bris:
But I am the only person that lives here and I didn't sign for it. My neighbours dditn sign for it. And none of my family sharing the snake last name lives in this country let alone hemisphere!
And both items were 90 so I'll just wait to see what Amex says.0 -

What a ridiculous statement. On your logic it's impossible to claim for a lost parcel as long as the courier company provides some sort of signature.0 -
Isn't bris a retailer/trader? (I seem to recall reading that somewhere). If yes then his stance on consumer rights becomes clearer.

Yep seemed unnecessarily terse and blunt.0
