I have already cancelled my Sky tv, using the regular phone number, then asking for retentions/cancellations. No attempt was made to keep me and the tentative enquiry about offers on phone/bb only had a poor offer.
I am now about to negotiate on bb/phone and decided to do it via online chat, as I believe you receive a transcript of the conversation.
However, on looking up contacts on the website, 'cancelling broadband' and 'requesting a MAC' give different phone numbers, but the chat option looks the same for both.
Is it better to phone or use chat, if I would like to stay, subject to a good offer ? Also, in either case, how do you check that you are speaking to the best department for your purpose ? (I ask as, following an earlier post of mine, someone mentioned that there are separate tv and phone/bb retention sections, each with it's own best offers).
