changing broadband, ee/talktalk??

Hi all,

Considering changing to either as I want to reduce my costs and the current offers seem reasonable.

Would anyone recommend either or? EE definitely seem competitive in pricing and the fact they will pay toward cancellation, but I know there have been numerous horror stories here. Which seems common as why would people post happy complaints?

Anyhow, thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

Having seen the deal in the MSE newsletter, I'm also wondering whether anyone would recommend EE broadband. According to the graphs in Choose.net's July article ('Which ISP has the best customer service?'), EE gets more customer complaints than anyone else. But I'm still tempted by the deal!

Re. TalkTalk, I have been with them for a few years and never had any major problems. I get a good speed and reliable connection. It's a pain to get any decent support over the phone, but I can't remember the last time I needed to call them.

Of course, it's important to remember that for every horror story, there are usually a hundred quietly satisfied customers you don't hear from.
  • Going on my current experience with TalkTalk, trying to get them to fix my landline which is faulty, I would never in a million years recommend TalkTalk to anyone.

My line has been faulty since April 2014 and they do nothing - nothing - to fix it. I am ignored, dismissed, fobbed off - you name it.

Ive seen the offer on here for Amazon vouchers thru EE.

talktalk are coming back with £75 credit....

EE are saying that there speed would be faster cos of a better router? Can this be true ?
  • I moved from BT to TalkTalk phone and broadband in June of this year. By the end of August I was back with BT, and grateful for it.
