Whatever you do, don't allow the buyer to arrange their own courier.
You may find it best to start selling locally on gumtree, preloved, freeads, Facebook & any other local websites to start with.
On ebay there are so many people selling upcycled furniture that most people can find what they want locally & get it picked up by a man & van for £20ish.

I have had large items delivered by Arrow XL before, no idea on prices as i was the reciever not sender but they operate 2 man delivery vans and advertise that they take the item into the house, when my polytunnel was delivered by them the van was full of sofa's and other large items.
Only downside is i think they are owned by Yodel but the 3 times i have had deliveries from them they have always been good, they contact the reciever in advance to check someone is in
