Scottish power no bill
I received my latest quartely bill dated 4-9-14 a few weeks ago. The bill was not an estimated one as we had the meter reader round. The reader had missread the electric meter as it is the old fashioned type with a series of dials...this resulted in the electric meter reading showing 1,000 units more than what it actually was. The bill i received was based on this reading & consequently was a lot more than it should have been.
I contacted scottish power explaining this & they said they would send a new bill. This was over 2 weeks ago & still have not received it. Trying to contact them on the phone is fruitless & yesterday i waited over an hour & still did not get through.
When i check my account online it shows my balance at the present date as being zero.
Has anyone else had this problem with them?

Having a similar problem with them myself. Unfortunately they seem to be really pretty poor at fixing stuff even when you do get through- a couple of months back I applied for a credit refund (which they messed up), and they have since dumped six estimated bills on my account (even though I've been giving them meter readings), and now they have frozen my account! To cap it off when I spoke to them yesterday, they denied all knowledge although that's what I'd been told earlier that morning. :rotfl:
Unfortunately I've found the only thing you can do is keep on at them until they finally get sick of you- and definitely don't let them fob you off. I know their wait times are ridiculous, but so far they have actually called me back on time if you opt for that when you're in the queue- even though yesterday the call back times were 1.06hrs-1.40hrs. It at least saves you an hour of that awful hold music!0 -
Iv'e had numerous problems since joining them and cannot wait for my contract to be up to escape the worst customer service iv'e ever encountered from an energy supplier , AVOID like the plague0
