TalkTalk Youview box

We're about to reach the end of our TalkTalk 2yr Plus TV contract. The Youview box we have has never been the fastest and seems to easily lockup / overheat.
Does anyone know if the box they provide now is any different? Ours is a Huawei and as far as I can see from their website this is the one they still provide.
Perhaps the right way to go is to drop down to their basic broadband and buy a proper box (Humax) with the savings!
