Do you think it's worth applying for then again. Who would you advise to see to help with application. Also one thing I was at an audiology department in another City but as I didn't need to see doctor anymore I asked my local clinic of I could move down there. I don't know if it has been moved as I haven't been called for any appointments in the last year. Should I put down the old audiologist who I seen about my hearing he was lovely. Also I haven't seen any doctors for 18 month to see how I'm coping with my hearing I feel they may just go off what was known when I furst lost more of my hearing.

Yes claim it. http://www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/supporting-you/benefits-and-personal-independence-payment/how-do-i-claim-pip/completing-the-pip-form.aspx see hear for help. Just make sure you identify how your needs are spread over a day rather than being concentrated into a single session of help. Keep a diary of the help needed in daily life for a week. It will amaze you and focus your mind.

And get someone who helps you on a daily basis to fill in the diary. There's so much you're probably not going to realise.

Hi guys thank you for your help. I have spoken with my parents and they said yes go and apply for it. Plus I'm in a better position to know what my issues are, last time I applied it was before I had my hearing aid. I am going to pop to cab tommorow see if they can help me out as I know it's better to get an organisation like them to word it better.

Thank you for not being people who assume because I have a hearing aid it will make my hearing just like hearing people but all it does is amplify what I can actually hear with my ear.

If I get this award it would help to buy equipment for the future when I move out.

Can I ask is it worth putting down that I require someone to wake me up as I don't sleep with hearing aid in and vibrating alarm clocks aren't always consistent to wake me up as many deaf people are deep sleepers.

Also I don't wear hearing aid when I'm in the bath so unaware of any sounds around me so I wouldn't be able to hear any alarms or parents.

Can I suggest you also talk to your GP and get some information from them. It would also help them and you if your GP is contacted.

hi all ive just been to cab i waited an hour but thats fine. the guy was nice and didnt look frustrated when i contastly asked him to repat what he said.

he phoned up pip for me and started my application over the phone. i had to say i was happy for him to do it on my behalf and other stuff but he told me what to say. god knows what they were asking him because he repeated the same details several times to them.

Pip are sending a form out to me and cab have organised an appointment to come back and they will help me to fill it out which is useful.

  • Glad you had help from CAB. I am afraid the service is overwhelmed in many areas so having to wait is prety normal.

no it isnt ok to do that.
you should complete the forms telling them the daily problems you have, mentioning that some days are worse and why they are worse.
to fill out the for as if every day was your worst day would be lying and could be classed as fraud
