My relationship started here

  • The opening post reminded me of a recent poster who kept leaving and returning.

As I recall op you were doing some arguing yourself with a couple of posters being on the receiving end plus you were sending private messages out to posters with your facebook on it to prove you were real.

I may be in the minority here but I don't get why any of this ended up on here in the first place and think you need to get on with enjoying your relationship.

    Privately.

Wow some really odd responses .....from the same posters who also moan that posters never return to update.

I'm really glad you got to England - Did we meet your expectations ? Were his friends as scary as you thought ? What did you get ticked off your bucket list ? :)

    Glad it's going well

    Hey, I'm back :)

Now I know some people here don't like me, some even think I'm a phoney but I am real and I find it very hurtful seeing arguing over me. My last thread was removed because of the arguing and that arguing prompted me to make the decision to stay away from here to keep the peace amongst everyone. I became very anxious after the last time, so can we keep this peaceful?
It is nearing 6 months since I first joined you guys seeking advice on how to date a British guy. I believe it was thanks to you guys that he became my boyfriend. If anyone can recall the thread that was removed, I was on my way to the UK to see him. I have now been to the UK and I'm in the process of creating a video montage of my trip which I would like to share with you guys, because without your advice it is most likely none of this would have happened.

If you would like to see it when it's finished I will happily share it but if you want me to stay away then just say and I will go away. :)

Such a 'needy' post... Why do you need public approval?

Oduliet having spent the last 20 minutes reading through your love story i have to say i think its really sweet and i commend all the people who have supported you.

Tiddlywinks everything you highlighted in bold does not show anything needy and i would like to know how you can conclude needy from what you highlighted? I would also hazard a guess as to why she is seeking public approval and that is because she is anxious to post on here after the last time, which is something you highlighted. You answered your own question, without the need to ask it.

It wasn't a case of posters 'not liking' Oduliet.

Some of us found her hard to believe, particularly when she commended 'that nice, sincere Mr.Kyle.' (Jeremy) in her first thread. Do Americans normally watch, even know about, Kyle?

In her second, it appeared that coming to the UK she would be able to meet a royal.

It was very remiss of us not to arrange a meeting with a royal for our DiL .

    The threads were entertaining, anyway.

I should think they do know about him, from his series in the US. Why wouldn't they know who he was?

Hi Oduliet - thanks for popping back. I actually did think about you recently and wondered what happened. I hope you really enjoyed your visit to England.

Perfectly correct. He has an American version, which is also broadcast here sometimes.

My expectations were surpassed! England is such a beautiful country and you guys have so much to be proud of. I'm hoping in the near future I can return there to work, then never leave. Meeting his friends was terrifying at first, but we met at the pub and after a few glasses of pear cider I was very relaxed. They are very friendly people, actually everyone I met in England was friendly to me. My bucket list is nowhere near complete either, I got side tracked learning about the Romans. I'm such a nerd. :o

I tried to refrain myself from going over the top and annoying people by talking about how much I love England! You asked for it, so brace yourself. My plane landed at Heathrow airport just after 06:00am UK time. My boyfriend came to pick me up and I was so tired from the flight I fell asleep in the car. The first sight I saw when I woke up was his house. It was this beautiful stone house with a very tidy front yard and these cute little flower baskets on the wall by the door. I thought he lived in Winchester, but he actually lives in a small town just outside Winchester called Owslebury. I adore Owslebury and Winchester, but if I had the choice I would live in Owslebury.

This has just been narrowed down because I was on 8 paragraphs :o London is amazing! The architecture is truly magnificent. I saw Bucking'am (I say BuckingHAM) palace, but not the queen. The changing of the guard was brilliant. London public transport is out of this world, you can literally get anywhere on public transport in London. Had my picture taken crossing Abbey road. The view from the London eye was spectacular on the day we went up. I got chills from hearing Big Ben chime. Had a tour of St Paul's Cathedral, the London bridge experience was scary and I was pooped on by a bird in Trafalgar square. We also spent two days in Bath city. I wanted to go there because I love Jane Austen books and ended up coming home with books on the Romans. God I love the history of the Roman empire and finding out from local people in Owslebury about it's Roman heritage was so kind. I never asked them, but in conversation they chose to share their knowledge with me, which I was very grateful.

Something else I am seriously impressed with is how healthy British food is! You do not know unless you have visited the USA how bad our food is. We went grocery shopping and the quality of British produce is jaw dropping. You get a 6 pack of British tomatoes for £1.00, here I pay $3.50 for 6 Tijuana Tomatoes! The candy and potato chips are also much higher quality. I'm actually envious because here I put on weight so easily, over there I lost weight and ate so well. :(

I will wrap this up now, but if you want to know more please ask and I will be happy to answer. God bless you all :)
