I'm awake ...I have had a semi - LBM every year for the last 6 years ...yet here i am ..
Rock bottom month is here .....maybe i will die of starvation at least then i wont worry about how bad things are..
What the hell is wrong with me....
Keeping this diary i hope may keep me on track to sort my life out ...unless the bloke upstairs starts to secure his Wifi
...Hey £15 a month saved and lets face it a saving is a good start.
I don't want to talk about debt ..they is plenty of it and plenty of time to talk about debt.
Oh the plus is the roof has stopped leaking
Choices ...making the wrong choices that lead to debt ...:( making the right choices that can turn my life around.
I haven't been off sick in 22 years ( i can't live with the guilt) yet i am so low I feel like being of tomorrow..
Running through my mind is store cupboard - sort out food for the month.
SELL what isn't nailed down...i'm working 8am to 10pm 5 days a week and i'm knackered...
I'm going to start tomorrow fresh with a goal...( really thinks will get up late ...swear a lot due to being late and end up be miserable) time to tackle my life...
Money matters ...:T
Actually quite annoyed i didn't have my LBM when i had some money ..lol :rotfl:

Good morning
At least you are facing up to things purse ,thats a good place to start
a few years ago I didn't think I had anything to look forward to i was £32,000 in debt and living with my mum with no monies to live on, I knuckled down paid my debts off and now have just got a mortgage ,im 34 so it's a bit late but I appreciate it because it was hard work .
my inspiration was a bit of Dave Ramsey and a lot of advice lurking on here!
P.s I am also a bit obsessive about stocking up my cupboards (in case im ever short of money again)
OOh look at me rambling !! Anyways have a good day and hope you start to feel a bit better today

ok ...
I have spent today on food shopping ...my receipt is £13.17 ..i probably would have been better buyimg 13 bars of chocolate and living off that
I suppose i am lucky I am a "storer"...i have plenty of food, toiletries and cleaning products...enough to keep me going..tight !!!! has a new meaning i didn't buy toilet rolls as i know i can get them cheaper elsewhere ...
I live alone so lucky that i only have to look after me ...but inevitably miss that person to lean on in the dark times..
added today from the shop..
soup
chicken
Milk
10 cigarettes
Tinned fish
Cheese Big half price block so £2 something
6 packs of wotsits
Shepherds pie
tinned beans
Some good news hoping to make £15 cash tomorrow from the sale of some clothesPay off Debt 1 : £270 by October 31st Pay off Debt 2 : £710 by November 31st Pay off Debt 3 : £260 by December ...Yep there are more :(0 -
Hey EmptyPurse,
Welcome! You are absolutely in the right place to get endless amounts of support.
Your not alone here, most of us have reached a very similar position before the LBM. Don't beat yourself up, I can't pinpoint one specific thing that racked up all my debt.... just an endless amount of bad choices I think. I also suffered with loss of sleep.. constantly waking up worried sick about debt and how I would cope if I ended up out of work somehow.
Little steps in the right direction help, and even if you can't pay off huge amounts a month paying something is still getting you closer to getting rid of it.
Sometimes its easy to let it get you down... I have many times, but life is short. Make a list of who you owe too, the rates of interest payable, minimum payments and how much you can actually afford. Doing a snowball calculator works well because you may be able to change your payments around to shift the debt quicker and cheaper.
Good luck! I am subscribing, and cant wait to see your progress.Total debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29
