if you went from Heathrow to Baker street via Harrow you'd be an even bigger fool than you appear from your previous threads.
and if you actually had a clue where the Harrow flyover is you would look even less of a fool than you do now , i'll give you a clue
    its nowhere near Harrow:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks, I see I was partially right to begin with, the A40 aka westway aka harrow ROAD flyover is connected to Marylebone road.

I hate it when someone acts like they're an authority when they're in the wrong themselves.

OP you obviously don't listen to the travel news much. The M11 often has some pretty serious accidents, and is also often a disaster zone south of the M25.

Plenty of missed flights from Stansted due to M11 closures.

My own experience is that the M11 seems to suffer more than its fair share of accidents, possibly because it is generally quieter than the M1/A1 so people are tanking up it (this is of course just my wild speculation).

also it is a good job you didnt have the misfortune to use the M11 on sunday the 14th sept 2014

this was the day that the two remaining airworthy lancaster bombers attended the duxford airshow, the M11 was gridlocked in both directions by eight o'clock in the morning, at times the queues around junction 10 duxford reached 15 miles long and the queues lasted around four hours

I was at the show that day and was in the airfield just after seven o,clock but the reports of the traffic problems throughout the day were horrendous

I hate the M11, I use the A1(M) and A505 just to avoid having to use it. (Has the added advantage of cutting out ~20 miles of the M25 as well :-))

In my younger, and more tender years, I'd commute up and down the M11. I used to do it sometimes on quite a fast bike, and it was the only road I ever used where there was a long enough, straight enough section, with great visibility and no entrances, that I could hit the bike's maximum speed.

I still use it often, but more sedately, and know that for an experience like the OP is describing, you have to pick your times carefully, and also have a dollop of luck on your side as well.

Yup, especially since the section of M25 between A1M and M11 has roadworks and you actually have to go at 40-50, even at 5am (late to work on my first day  but they wouldn't give me my work flat until after officially starting...)

A505 is mostly 70/60mph anyway although it does have a lot of roundabouts

M11 is a remarkably rough ride compared to the other motorways I've driven on, as is the first few miles of the A11 southbound from Norwich

More proof that London Tiger lives in a dreamworld.

    The rich people of Harlow?

    Traffic?

Some of the worst traffic in the region.

I assume he drove up the M11 in his wrongly insured vehicle.

I have had some pleasant drives on the M11 - including leaving South London at 0745, following LT's route then M11 and A14 to Huntingdon for 0930. I have also spent 90 minutes parked in the outside lane while a major accident was cleared and queued to get out of Duxford on airshow days.

On balance, it's still preferable to the M25 and M1 from where I start.

Now the M55 - that used to be my favourite!
I need to think of something new here...
