We were to travel on TOM 22 flight Gatwick to Mexico Nov 2012. We were delayed by (according to the airline 23 hrs 24 mins) yet still stuck on the runway for another hour taking us over 24 hrs. Yes they did put us up in the hotel and fed us but only after keeping us at the airport for 12 hours. The reason for the delay was : 1. Problems with aircraft so 2nd plane on route. When it arrived the cleaner pressed the button for the escape shoot and by the time it was restored the pilot was not able to fly due to rules. We complained to Thomson Airlines and the CAA but were told no case. Not sure how they got out of this one. Was quite upset after losing a days holiday, in fact cheated. Anyone else on this airline.
