As his appointee its your responsibility to make sure your son attends appointment. BUT if the appointments affect his health in any way and they is evidence you can place a request to change his groups.
.
Please can you direct me to evidence to support this, it doesn't sound right to meBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
If your son's health has deteroriated since being placed in the work related activity group you can request a review of his entitlement.
It would be a good way to start by sending a letter requesting a review of his ESA award detailing his difficulties and matching them to the relevant descriptors of the support group. (Google ESA support group descriptors and activities)
Contact ESA helpline and request a copy of your previous claim form and a copy of the ESA 50a medical report so you can see how they reached the decision to place him in the WRAG.
DWP will start the process again and send you the pink form (ESA 50) to be completed and request a medical assessment.
Be sure to put on the form you require a home visit due to.....
Good idea to back this up with a supporting letter from GP or support worker detailing the effects on his mental health state if required to attend an assessment.
To ensure the correct decision supporting evidence is vital so gather as much medical evidence as you can.
Good Luck.
When phoning ESA check whether you are now officially the registered appointee.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0 -

The appointee can request a reconsideration (or reassessment if the condition has worsened since the original decision was made). That doesn't mean that any change will be made though, any more than it would if the claimant made such a request.0 -

Jobseekers Allowance/ESA customer with appointee
5407 You must always deal with the appointee in the first instance when considering conditionality operational matters eg arranging interviews. The onus is on the appointee to ensure that the customer is aware of interview times etc.0 -
