Harry Potter Not Delivered!

Mine was ordered months ago from Waterstones as they were giving away another book about wizards with it. It arrived at about 10am this morning in a royal mail van. I have read a chapter and a bit so far.....difficult with a crazy 3 year old running about too!!

I preordered HP from Waterstones two months ago. My posites been with a lovely bill for me but no HP! :mad: If it doesn't turn up today I will be kicking off big time. Luckily I didn't tell DS that I had ordered it for him so he's not too dissapointed.

If they try to deliver on Monday I'll be out so will have to trek back to the sorting office to collect it. 1st and last time I preorder from the net (esp as I could now get the book cheaper in town)

Don't forget about half of the country is under water! There are bound to be logistical problems getting all orders out in the circumstances. Although your town/village may not be flooded(lucky you if so:beer: ) lots of major routes and rail links are out of action etc.

Our postman has just been in a massive van instead of his usual one(about 5 hours earlier than normal) and with no Harry Potter as I can't be doing with all the hype and have no intention of buying it! He only had a few handfuls of post for the whole village as hardly anything got through from some parts of the country. We're one of the few properties in our village that are still accessible by road but it's still raining so who knows what the afternoon will bring. A council truck has just dropped off a pile of sandbags for us so maybe they know something we don't:eek: . The weatherman said it would be less severe this time but alas it isn't.

I ordered 2 Harry Potter books, one I got from tescos using a point code, the other from play.com via quidco to get cashback. Only one turned up this morning and it was the one from play.com.

2 out of my 4 kiddies love Harry Potter books and also read them in Welsh so this morning after swimming lessons we went to Morrisons.

Morrisons are selling Harry Potter book for £4.99 !!! sometimes I wonder if it's just better to buy on the day rather than pre-ordering

so when the Tesco ones comes it is going back.

ditto - mines from Waterstones and not here yet (its 12.33) and again, i'll be out... annoyed - i dont even know where the sorting office round here is!! big thumbs down for Waterstones!!

I ordered mine from asda, with supposed guaranteed delivery for today.

Nothing has arrived

Off to the shops to get a myself another copy, as the OP said if I wait until monday someone is bound to spoil the plot for me before then.

mine frmo amazon turned up this morning approx 8.30am and not by the normal postie
although i did order mine back when the release date was first announced and according to amazon it was dispatched on the 16th
