  • It is owned by Threadneedle Investments, Savilles are the managing agent - they seem to use PE a lot.

Fizzy - re#19. Do not waste more money on special or recorded delivery.

The reason for this consistent advice is that you are giving an addressee a chance to refuse acceptance.

PPCs have been known to do this.

A 1st-class stamped letter is deemed delivered within 48hrs and a free Cert of Posting from any PO is accepted as proof of this.

I agree with Gerty, re: phoning Northampton. Found them excellent when discovering CC debts attached to my address: I have never had a CC in my life, never would.

Yes, Threadneedle Investments are still the owners[despite sth which was in the air earlier this year], with Walkman&Partners LLP as the managing Agents and Wilkinson Williams, Chartered Surveyors, as the Letting Agents. A chap phoned me back re:this. I will learn more tmrw.

Threadneedle and Savills are normally good at getting PE to cancel their charges even if court papers have been issued, look here's one case re Threadneedle:

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/parkingeye-drop-two-claims-after-being.html

and here we have Savills who aren't keen on PE it seems:

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/british-airways-pension-trust-force.html

Savills explained that "ParkingEye won't be happy but they are working for us and they have to do what they are told."

But you have now suffered loss and distress because of this CCJ out of the blue - so you have nothing to lose by sending strongly-worded complaints to Savills and Threadneedle, urgently. Ask very pertinent questions such as who contracted PE there? If not Threadneedle then who has the contract with PE (has to be the landowner or with landowner' consent). Did Threadneedle consent and why is their agent issuing CCJs after no previous paperwork?

You can see that both Threadneedle and Savills do step in sometimes and it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that they *could* (if they so decide) order PE to refund your money and more. Maybe they will focus their minds more if you issue a Letter Before Claim if they do not sort this out after exhausting their normal complaints procedure.

For the sake of a few letters/stamps you may as well try rattling some cages. You have nothing to lose and could make life difficult for PE and maybe even get a refund. Sounds good to me!

How do you know the original PCN would have been £60, by the way, if you had no paperwork earlier?

#8 - breakdown perhaps disclosed during this conversation with Northampton?

Not sure Northampton Court would have that information even in the particulars. Also £60 sounds low for a PE charge!

I mentioned it only because a v. clued up girl at Northampton dug around, found related p/w for me. 2 much-appreciated goodwill gestures followed my letters:-).
