hi, I need advice on unfair parking charge notice. I have read some threads but cannot find a relevant one. I parked in a retail park at the weekend and took my son across the road to where he needed to be. I then came back to look around the shops for furniture. when I got home I noticed a pcn stuck to the windscreen. reason for pcn, driver/passenger observed leaving site. how can this be an offence. any advice welcome . thank you.

Of course it's not fair, welcome to scam land and the PPC bullies.
Follow the advice on the newbies thread and see them off!0 -
It is a contravention, not an offence and it is perfectly right and fair that you should not use one retail park's area which they provide for their customers to visit another area.
What is not right and fair are the swingeing charges that the PPCs try to hit you with. Getting you off these punitive charges is what we do here.0 -
I have read some threads but cannot find a relevant one.
There are dozens of similar threads out there, search or google "Forbury" and "leaving site".
Is it fair that Wonga charge 5,000% A.P.R.? Is it fair that Adidas charge £100 for trainers that cost them a fiver? Is it fair that a one way train ticket can cost more than a return? Welcome to "Rip Off Britain".You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
As mentioned read the newbie thread (see my signature). The most crucial information we need is which PPC as there can be different advice depending on whether the ppc is a BPA member or an IAS member.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0

so you have not read the NEWBIES sticky thread yet, despite being asked to do so
if you had, you would know that you wait for the NTK to arrive between day 29 and day 56 , then appeal it as RK, providing the vehicle is not hired/leased/or a company vehicle0 -
You haven't said enough to reveal what stage you're at.
If you put UKCPS in the Search The Forum box:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?searchid=157249422
-there's loads more to read about them, after reading the NEWBIES advice several times. It doesn't just sink in automatically.
