I'd speak directly to the store. From what you've said things will already be in hand. If you take it higher then the store will also have to escalate things, potentially someone could lose their job.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.

Have you been to have your foot checked by a doctor? Several years ago I had a lot less than 60kg dropped on my foot and it broke bones in several places, it didn't feel broken to me just badly bruised but an X-ray confirmed the extent of the damage. I could still walk relatively well on it but the Dr told me it's quite common for people to not know they have broken bones in the foot but if they don't heal in the correct position can cause problems for the rest of your life.

If 60kg landed on your foot it will probably be broken that is some weight.

Puts on kevlar? Crikey no not looking for compensation, accidents happen, just want them to train people to use common sense and be more careful
As you say, it was an accident and accidents happen, no matter how much training somebody has, and common sense isn't something you can learn on a course.

If you want to send a letter feel free but don't expect it to accomplish much other than to make yourself feel better.

You have a crystal ball? Not a 60 kg one hopefully;)
  • and tipped the other 4 boxes off the trolley on to my foot (around 60kg)
Think we might be getting carried away with the 60 kgs . . .

Sounds like 4 boxes @ 15 kgs each. Did all 4 boxes land en mass, or 4 fall separately, or just one actually hit the OPs foot . . .?

Not saying 15 Kgs won't hurt or cause damage but as the 4 boxes "tipped" it's difficult to see how all four landed at once on the aforementioned foot . . . ?

Hope there's no lasting damage op.
