injury sustained in a store

Hello
Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to make a complaint to ikea. I was shopping in there last week and whilst at the tills the server was scanning the boxes on the trolley, lifted the bottom box to get the code and tipped the other 4 boxes off the trolley on to my foot (around 60kg). I didn't want a fuss but two other staff members insisted on calling first aider, and I've been left with a badly bruised and painful foot and big toe.
I would just like to put a complaint in about the way the checkout staff handle goods , someone else may not get off as lightly as me.

Omg. IKEA are a nightmare to communicate with- be warned.

It seems they acted out of concern for you.
I'd be making a fuss at the time if 60 kg hit my foot.
As you played it down at the time, I can only say it should be on record in case complications occur. Have you visited your doctor?

I'd email here in the first instance and see if the complaint is given the appropriate consideration http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_GB/customer_service/email.html

A full report was made at the time by the first aider as i jad to have ice packs on,he wrote on the report that there was already swelling. I just wanted to get out as everyone was crowding round and I got a bit panicked. Only happened Friday so nor visited gp.
I might try writing rather than phoning as I've heard that that can be a.pain.

The op is probably quite cross now, as is human nature.
When you have time to think, it does no harm to write in to flag up what happened.

It's probably been investigated too by the company.

I'm beginning to get that impression. If I'd have wanted to look for compensation I'd have made a big fuss at the time rather than having to practically been dragged to the first aid room . Mind you in this compensation culture I guess there are reasons to be suspicious
