No I don't do that. But it is an active market so why not make the most of it?

I knew you didn't, just making fun as its Friday afternoon

As to why not trade actively, because I don't like to gamble, and even the professionals have trouble beating a passive tracker, so an amateur has similar if not less chance.

Statistically, I am sure there are some amateur traders making a fortune out there. Lets compare score cards in 20 years :)

Well I do. Is that OK?

And so far Ive made enough to buy a brand new motorhome.

And I don't fancy comparing notes in twenty years time for the simple fact I may well be dead by then.

Feel free, you were the one questioning someone else's methods?

That's a new method of measuring performance I haven't come across before.

From your attitude, I assumed you were a youngster.

No I'm an old lady. So my measure of performance won't be how much wonga I can sit on when I retire like you as I am already there. It's going to be measured on what it can provide now and in the near future before I finally get bunged in the furnace.

Me too. Like a Flock of Sheep, except that I don't take the view that it's 'daft' to buy at this low point. It might be considered daft to sell at a loss, but not to buy now.

All this is for DH and me and for what remains of our life together.

    Thats Great :T
But the market has risen a lot since you joined. And its about as easy to make money is a rising share market as it is in a rising property market, because whatever you buy is more likely to rise than fall.
Not so easy when the tide turns against you, and you never know when thats going to be...

So am I when I have been in the furnace.
I intend to leave the land for the next generations of rising population, because if everyone who ever lived had taken a patch of land for a grave there would be none left for the living.
