Looking for online where I can be a wiseman/woman selling potions not a warrior

About the closest MMORPG that I can think that would let you do that is the very old Ultima Online, but that's pretty dead now.0

Entropia used to have a system which would allow you to skill up in crafting different items (usual furniture/clothes etc.) but I have no idea if it is still running. Got ridiculously hard to skill up for the combat roles without spending real money so I stopped playing.
IIRC there were some mahoosive sales of virtual items (nightclub / space station and the like) where RL amounts of £1/2 million were not uncommon.
Would need to check the player base because as with Ultima I have not heard of it for a while.
LINKY to some info on it (it appears to be still running fine after 13 years!!)0 -
Eve online, whilst a science fiction game, will let you just make & trade stuff. But it would be very tedious0

As Niv said, it is possible to do this in World of Warcraft and some people have managed to get all the way to the current level cap (90 for now, 100 when the expansion launches next month) without killing anything just by exploration and professions. If you took a combo such as mining and herbing you would get experience every time you mined or herbed something that was level appropriate.
However, since this is a money saving forum, paying £8.99 (soon to be £9.99) per month plus the cost of the base game and some expansions for a severely limited version of the game strikes me as a poor use of funds.0 -
Unless its the cheapest way for the OP to do what they want and the fun it provides them is sufficient, in which case they may decide its an awesome use of funds! However, since this is a money saving forum, paying £8.99 (soon to be £9.99) per month plus the cost of the base game and some expansions for a severely limited version of the game strikes me as a poor use of funds.0 -

And you can play for free up to level 20. AT this point I believe you simply cannot level up further but you can still herb collect in appropriate zones. Although limited it would be a free way of doing it and if you base yourself in the Human city of Stormwind there would be plenty of people about if you wanted to interact.YNWA
