I would definitely argue that the fault is not of my own making. Just a shame it has died so close to the warranty expiring, otherwise I would imagine I would be fully covered.
If it's through dust build-up leading to overheating which eventually caused something to melt/fail then it kinda is of your making on the basis that you should have cleaned it. Neglect is still misuse.Well, I will try contacting Samsung tomorrow and see about getting it sent in. Though not sure what if any charges there would be?
If you have a nearby engineer who is certified in a relevant way, then it might be quicker to get an engineer report from them if youre confident that it's an inherant fault.Had thought that I would just take it in to jl , and argue the toss that the laptop was showing problems before warranty expired, that the warranty only just expired
Why oh why did you not take it in when it was under warranty and save yourself all this trouble? Warranties are in addition to your statutory rights and when they end, they end. It's that simple. A company isn't going to fork out extra money just because you ignored the fault and let the warranty expire.0
