Lots of problems with EE/Orange network

Very poor service on EE for the last week or so. Texts and calls not going through.
Lots of tweets to EE from all parts of the country, but bland, unhelpful replies from EE.
Gf spent 20 mins holding to speak to customer service yesterday.
Anyone having similar problems, anyone with a reason behind it all ?
Would be great to hear from you EE !

When I spoke to EE technical the other night I was told that they've been inundated with calls from people wanting the iphone 6 and because of problems caused when people have either downloaded or tried to download the new ios8. It took me about 30 minutes to get through but once I did they were very apologetic and helpful. I've never had a problem with their CS (other than the holding times!) and always find their staff helpful and friendly.0
