so nice to have sun through all the windows... actually encourages me to get out of my bed on a morning !

hows the pupwup going choille ? gotta show us a picture please....

mum is slowly getting on her feet , I think pushed by the fact my "other" sister has told her she WILL come and look after her in her flat on her release !!!! the mere thought has got mum motivated to not NEED that help ;)
she wants to come here where she can sit in the garden , the birds, dogs etc and just chill out.
her room here is ready if need be , has patio doors out on to terrace and shower/loo etc next door.
ive said its up to HER what she decides to do and forget family politics !

all my dogs are lying in the sun ... :rotfl:

ive got big dog [lab] for another week as owner has been taken ill in Majorca and been in hospital for last 5 days and they wont let him fly albeit feeling better !.... I don't mind, hes a good lad [the dog that is ]

right well today I am digging a hole for a fish pond in my garden, then fitting pond pump in other koi pond, visiting mum and then .............

Pups doing well - a mighty mo of a pup. Everyone loves him but he is quite a handful. He got micro chipped & his 1st jag yesterday - so a big day away to the vets.
Car due a service in Inverness so he was getting fussed over by all the staff. One woman sat on the floor with him for 20 mins. He is getting quite an ego on him.

Cold wind here but dry so far.

How do I lodge photos again? I have to put them somewhere 1st?

    Hi all.

I really do need to start catching up with the posts. And start posting again..

    News at the Ranch...

Got a HUGE polytunnel given to us for free. Well part of one lol.there is only the hoops and a few anchor posts and a few attachment fixings. And no plastic. It's got an 18ft width . And i think there is 7 or 8 hoops. So this should be fun trying to improvise to get it up. The same person also gave us a sit on lawnmower been sitting idle for at least 5 years .And it started first time!!! Not the prettiest old and rusty. But the boys are having a bit of fun on it...

Here is a video ( fingers crossed the link works will remove later )

eBay seems to be doing ok. Now that it's my main income at the moment .Selling quite a few of a certain type plant. So need to get my butt into gear and get some organisation in order. And now i have the time to concentrate on growing etc .See if i can make a proper go at it lol..

Pigs... We are down to 3 now. One boar and 2 gilts. Which look as though they have caught so little piglets soon..

Glorious weather here. So making full use of it.

I'm a little annoyed as I had ordered a couple of palletloads of tantalised boards for the allotment to make raised beds etc and after it not arriving I called the company to find that they had been let down and had no stock. Am now waiting on the refund so I can call around a few local companies. Sometimes those internet bargains are not so good!

Chesapeake, I'd not buy any boards without seeing them in the flesh; in fact I like to pick mine out at the yard which makes me uber-popular!

I miss having my van, I can only fit a few small boards in my knackered old Golf :( Need to find someone who delivers...

I know, the 12' load space in the van is something I don't think I could have done without over the last few years. What about a roof rack?

It's been rather full-on here over the last few days, hence a lack of posting from me. Suddenly, spring kicks-off and I find myself running along behind, shouting, "Wait!" :o

The first swallow arrived on the saturday 8th, same as usual, but it wasn't one of our swallows, because I've not seen any since. :(

On Saturday I did the first Market of the year and made about £63, which was nice, but I was only doing my duty re the village, as the prep time could have been used usefully in other ways, like weeding, cutting grass, etc.

Since her acupuncture session, DW has been much more mobile, which is a blessing. The chickens are back in her tender care now, which has given me a chance to start reorganising the nursery.... though finishing is another matter altogether.

It took us half a day to carefully pack the greenhouse we acquired into the polytunnel so that it might, one day, stand a fair chance of being re-erected. DW has a code system for the bits.....which I don't understand at all. :(

Our builder friend is back from Oz and coming over to do a day's work here tomorrow. I'm pleased his build over there has started well and he's got the footings in. If anyone deserves a nice house, its him and his missus...:A

Finally, with a good wind from the NW, I was able to have a huge bonfire of the road hedge waste this afternoon. There will still have to be one more small one and a pick up of all the logs before it rains again....another use for the van, which doesn't grip on a wet field.

Good to hear from you CTC. Once that poly goes up, there will be no stopping you! ;)

Yesterday torrential rain - never seen so much water rushing down. Roads quite flooded.

Puppy doing well if a little frenzied. Cat slowly coming round and has now come into the house after moving out to the shed.

Gone very cold again - fed up with the weather.

My sheep would freeze if they were shorn Alfie - glad your Mum is making progress.

We have the opposite problem; it's far too dry! We have the cold wind, though.

    Still no swallows! :(

Yesterday was the deadline for a response by the conservatory company in our mediation process via the Glass & Glazing Federation. They missed it. Today I ordered the materials for the floor. We're going to carry on constructing that now, regardless of the fact that the roof must come off. Our builder has said he's finishing in July, so we have to get a move on.
