    Moles ....and voles...hrumph!

At least with moles you get some visul warning that they're in the vicinity, but voles are a bit of a unseen menace here. The other day I was watering my radishes, when the soil just opened up and fell in on itself, all along the row. Where I'd watered, there was a long depression of collapsed soil, neatly following the line of veg. No wonder the blimmin things weren't doing very well, as their roots must've been dangling in thin air! :(

Where's ferretkeeper? I wonder how she's faring with nightmare neighbour and council?

The weather here is horrendous and I am going to get stuck into stripping the wallpaper off the hall.

Did you press the 'back' button?

Very often, I find I can retrieve lost posts if I act quickly.

In fact, I just got back to this one again after posting it. :D

Yes, the moles & voles remain uneaten - which is good as hairy cat has a gut problem & has to eat only the same food each day - sensitive diet stuff that's quite expensive, but he's worth it!

This mole seemed very large. We have had a citadel in the middle of the ewes field. It's where the moles meet! It was massive. We also have an area just out in the field where the ground is very disturbed where the hay was - that's badgers digging & rooting for worms.

Dave - I like to see stuff I intend to buy in the metal - as you say. So I go & look at stuff, find what I like, go on-line & read reviews & then shop around. I do like to read reviews on stuff. It's quite amazing how much you can save.

FK hasn't posted in a while - hope she is fairing okay.

Alfie - I agree about the arched mirror - It does look good with the alcoves.

Drizzling here & quite cold really.

So far, the kitchen company we're using has beaten the major on-line retailer AO on every item.

AO will price match, but I'd rather support local biz.

Just windy here now, so managed an hour with the brushcutter. :)

Don't think we got moles up the ranch.. As once you go down so far its clay.. Got loafs of frogs though.. And mice in the caravan.. And rays, which I see the local cats hunting around the place...

Well I got eBay listing block... Been listing diff items on my diff eBay accounts and in the end I was having a mental block, when trying to write the descriptions etc.. So home now for a cuppa and cake..

Weather is awful..I think the next county up to us has a yellow weather warning for wind etc..think we got it until Wednesday??

I will be passing FK's place on Saturday, so if she hasn't posted by then, I will drop a note through the door to say we were all wondering if e eryrhibg is OK ...she only lives about 10-15 mins away..

We are on clay . The moles still try,....until they meet pink whistley:eek:.

The new wardrobe looks great but the lack of hanging space is a problem. Not only were they shorter ' back then' but they had narrower shoulders. :(. So all the hangers are on a slant, and only firs things are fitting in there really.

I need to find exactly the right size boxes for the shelves, then move anything that can be stored folded in to those, freeing up hanging space in our room. I have feeling we will be playing musical clothes for some time!
