Attempting to reply on my phone for the first time...
Sorry Dave, that photo of your DD didn't show up when I last signed in. It's lovely, what a thoughtful thing to do
My aunty wasn't what I would call particularly elderly, but she had health problems and was in a Care home, so not a great combinationHer passing away has made me look into our family history and I've lost hours on the Ancestry site in the last couple of days...

Very sorry to hear about your Auntie, Pink Poppy.
Good on yer daughter Dave!
OH has been spending lots of time at the lottie - reached the point where the bindweed is coming up as well as the small weeds! We've got some broad beans almost ready to plant there - we'll net them for a bit as otherwise the pigeons are likely to go for them. Some broadies planted in garden already. Plus we've got Cavallo Nero starting off in pots. Want to grow them on a bit more before putting them in the ground, some here at home, and some at lottie. OH is hoping we can find the Trail of Tears beans to plant some, not sure if they'll still be viable even if we do find them!
There's a gorgeous peony at the lottie, so yesterday OH brought me some blooms from it to enjoy in the bedroom.

OH is also keen to try and grow some sweet peas (if we can find the seed!). Is it too late to start them off now?4 -
Thanks maggie
The weather has changed here and it was chilly and raining when we went for our walk this morning. We saw the otter again thoughlooked like he was having fish for his breakfast
I don't think he was impressed by us watching him eat and he slipped under the water to finish his meal.
You've made me want to look into getting a lottie now, maggie. I'll have a look at the council website, although I'm not even sure it's the council that run them here.
Peonies are gorgeous and I always remember the deep red one we had in the garden when I was a child. I'll try and have a look at your pic, but it doesn't always work on this laptop.
Hope everyone is staying safe.'A watched potato will never chit'...4 -
Our Foxglove Tree has flowered properly for the first time. Over the years, I've sold dozens of these, always from seed rescued from parks and gardens, but now it looks like we might have some of our own.8

Sorry everyone, I said I would do some pics and then have been really busy again since. I still have areas to work on and I’m watching the plants closely to see how they get on with the clay soil. But so far I’m really pleased with what I’ve achieved.

I want to pinch your hanging chair! Not that I've got time to sit in it! Internet sales still busy, DD1 and I put in a big shift the other week to catch up and didn't finish until 4 am. Managed today off but tomorrow is going to be really busy. Still managing to get re-stocked though some items have had to be ended as we can't get them. Keep looking at the raspberry bed but that isn't getting the weeding done. When I find some energy and time I'll get round to it.

Wow! That's some serious garden landscaping Fay!
That patio looks great; indeed, very similar to what I'm after here, once we can afford it. I see you've already stained the fences like you did in your last garden, so you must have found that worked well with the plants.Your landscapers have put a decent fall on the patio too, which means faster dry-out after rain and no puddles.
You brought a lot of plants with you! I only know two people who moved more than that and the other guy hasn't checked-in here for a while. I've seen him about though, so I think he's OK and not gone quackers in the lock-down!After that impressive show, I hardly dare put up a photo of what we've been doing, which is sinking posts for trellis in what will become herb garden. No clay here till you hit 0.45m, but see how many stones come out of one hole!
