You can get some tablets called Capstar, they work almost immediately and only last 24 hours but kill all adult fleas on your cat. I would combine this with a household spray and a new flea treatment, I prefer Advantage to stronghold, as I have seen fleas on my cats since using stronghold.

Personally i would take cat to the vets and ask the vet to treat him/her at this point.

    For the house - Indorex.

Remember that any flea treatment will not prevent flies jumping onto the cat - they have to bite the cat to die and each one can last 24 hours on a cat so if they are jumping from anywhere in the house.. will take a while. And you will see live fleas on the cat.

Whatever you do - do NOT ever buy/use Bob Martin products, those are avaiable in all shops but killed quite a few pets :(

Frontline is rubbish! My vet changed to STRONGHOLD years ago. I swear by this product. Not only does it eradicate all fleas with one treatment, it also works for ear mites and ticks.
  • I took my cat to vets4pets last moth for his yearly check and boosters, will I need to pay for a prescription to buy either stronghold or comfortis, if they sell it, (my cat had a reaction to advantage).
If they dont sell it, or its very expensive how much is a prescription likely to cost to get it elsewhere? I tried ringing them, but they're shut now.
