Last week i asked for help with fleas on my cat, i needed something i could go and get thete and then, and i got frontline, but its rubbish, both cats are still scratching and i've seen fleas on them. Ones also got a tick since then.
What can i do for them now, is there anything else i can use defore the 4 weeks are up?
Does anyone us diatomaceous earth, i've read it can be good.
I've also sprayed all around with the spray thats often recomended on which i've forgotten the name of.

I've used indorex spray for the house and it worked a treat0

Indorex, thats the one, i used it all round.0

you need to spray your house, as well as treating your cats, otherwise the fleas will come back again and again - the eggs and larvae are in your house unless you spray.
Indorex - one can is large enough for a 3-bed house, and you spray your entire house once a year.
It can still take time before the fleas are killed off.0 -
frontline no longer works and the fleas have built up an immunity to it, you need advocate only available from your vet, itll also take a while for the eggs that are about to hatch out and bite your cat before the poison gets em and the cycle is broken0

I've used Advantage flea treatment on my two for years and it's worked really well. Tried Frontline a long time ago but I found it pretty useless! I always get Advantage from Vet UK, loads cheaper than Pets at Home etc..0

Another vote for Advantage and Indorax. I also bought flea comb and diligently combed them twice a day helped to eradicate quicker. Have to say had cats 40 years, never had anything but occasional flea, but this year has been horrendous they seem to be getting immune to lots of products.SCP # 034

I don't know if you can use it now that you've used frontline but I used capstar on my dog as a first strike attack and then followed that up with advantage and indorex0

We haven't had any success with indorex for the last three years, I need to find the name of it, but this year we have used a flea and worm treatment from the vets, it is lick safe and we have found it to be very good.0

I'd ring the vet and ask if I had to wait till the end of the 4 week period. If I could use something elce now then it would be Advantage, Stronghold or programme.
Indorex didnt work for me either, I had to get some flea bombs http://www.pestcontrolsupplies.co.uk/insecto-flea-destroyer-bomb-150ml. These were very good.
Also you need to keep hovering everyday and wash all your bedding, hover your matressess and round the skirting boards as well. Fleas can be really difficult to get rid of.0 -
We had trouble with the dog and fleas we tried many amounts of front line, Sprays, hoovering up bathing him and nothing was working. Last time we took him the vet they recommended a flea tablet that lasts a month called Comfortis Chewable Flea Tablets. Now I'm not one to over exaggerate but this is the best thing ever. We gave it to him and with in 45 minutes they were dropping off hm dead. He has been flea free now for 3 months and he looks happier.
One thing I will say is if you read reviews on them it looks like some cats/dogs have side effects from them but we gave him the tablet on a day we could keep an eye on him but he was fine with it just was a little sleepy after it but nothing else. I can not recommend this enough:money:0
