Why are you still calling this a "fine"? As for "threatening letters" just treat them as you would any other junk mail. Please take the advice of the experienced people on here and stop panicking! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I will ignore any further correspondence as per the good information I got from the phone call.
I appreciate the early replies, all I was askign for was info... ideally not having to read war and peace in between to get simple facts.
I'll have to remember to be an ignorant smart @rse to the next person asking for help on parking issues, seems to be the standard in this little area of the site.

You were told it's not a "fine", why are you using that word? For some strange reason you are not taking the advice offered on here, why? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You asked for advice,
You got advice,
You ignored the advice and asked someone else,

That info was given to you when I first replied:I will ignore any further correspondence as per the good information I got from the phone call.
I appreciate the early replies, all I was asking for was info... ideally not having to read war and peace in between to get simple facts. You are in NI and if you just search the forum for 'Northern Ireland' and read the 'NEWBIES read these FAQs first' sticky thread near the top of this forum, you would know this is nothing.
There really was nothing else to be done and what the Councillor told you was just what we had said already. Of course there is no legislation to 'back up' the fact you can ignore this scam in NI. Because it's nothing! you have no POFA 2012 so there is no keeper liability in law, in NI. You could search for legislation until the cows come home but you won't find it because this scam is unregulated trash in NI. There is no legislation!
It would have been fun to see if you could get a POPLA code if you hadn't done this:Secondly, in my appeal I did admit that I was the driver.
When the advice was this:You could appeal as registered keeper (as explained in the NEWBIES thread) and see if they are daft enough to send you a POPLA code - or just ignore it!
Seriously why did you tell them who was driving, in a Country where PPCs can't hold a keeper liable (they have to know who was driving...and you TOLD them!) that's the unbelievable thing that everyone's amazed about! If you couldn't take on board the importance of appealing ONLY as keeper (using the template I told you to use, in the Newbies thread, where it tells you to write ONLY as keeper if appealing) then you shouldn't have even tried.
Never mind - just IGNORE it now, can't believe you wrote & told them the one piece of info they needed...astonishing. Now just collect the debt collector letters; they are only junk mail. Relax.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
