thompson holidays rip off misold see what u think

Options
hi i'll and try and keep this short we bought a holiday through thompson on the internet on sunday and paid for it in full we bought a package deal printed the e-mail and read it in tiny letters on the 3rd page (extras)transfers not included.
All the way through the booking process it did not say transfers not included or give the option to book transfers i've rung thompson and after being transfered here and there for 3DAYS and on hold for 30mins at a time told the lines were busy because people could not pay on line because of problems with their website funny how they took my money on sunday.!
I finally spoke to the customer service they told me i booked (they sold me)a package without transfers. I argued for 30mins being put on hold then being told basically tough either pay £189for their tranfers or find your own way . They should have made this clear at the time of booking quoted abta codes of conduct etc rung trading standards they think i have a good case also rang x-ray a welsh watchdog tv programme and they seemed very interested to but we've already paid £1250 which is not that cheap i just wondered were else I can go from here to sort this before i go away I honestly thought thompson would do the right thing when they realised their mistake any help or suggetions would be really appreciated feeling really p****d off we fly on tuesday and it's just put a bit of a damper on the going on holiday feeling
thanks all

I too have lost faith in Thomson's...I have spent nearly £4000 on holidays with them within the last 12 months .
Our last holiday in May the hotel in florida (Orlando Grand) was a disgrace, myself and another 4 families refused to stay on arrival. Thomson rep refused to come out...BLAH BLAH to cut along story short they are not interested .. I had the same problem and SAME excuses from them...DONT GIVE UP....WE ARE FORMING A GROUP ( we all exchanged email address's) its called action group and will take them to court....
but on the other hand I know the standards have dropped and Im not surprised...but still find it hard to beat some prices they offer....
I know how you feel ....GGGGRRRRRrrrrrr.......I felt the same, just hope you relax and get your own transfers at lower cost anyway.... but I do understand it leave's you BITTER...GRR
I would love to be a Travel Agent :j

On their A-Z booking information, it includes the following:
What s included in Your Holiday Price

Your holiday price is the price stated on the last invoice for your holiday and includes the following:
    • Return flights from UK to resort airport with given baggage allowances but excluding any flight supplements (see brochure flight pages).
    • Airport taxes - including UK Air Passenger Duty and passenger charges at home and abroad. Please note, any local taxes, levies, dues or similar required by local authorities abroad to be paid personally by every visitor are not included.
    • Coach transfers.
    • Accommodation as shown on your Holiday Invoice (or any Final Invoice issued). Please note that All Inclusive may be shown as full board on your Holiday Invoice.
    • Meals at your accommodation on a hotel holiday. See individual hotel descriptions for `What's included'.
    • The services of a Thomson resort team/local Thomson agent.
    • The services of a Kidzone Rep - if your accommodation has a children's club organised by Thomson.
    • VAT on all holidays to the EU.
    • All facilities shown as free at your accommodation in the accommodation description or brochure price panel. Please note, there may be charges for other facilities such as sunbeds, porterage, safety deposit boxes, air-conditioning, sauna, sports and equipment hotel run children’s clubs and cots.

I can't see any way that they can justify any holiday NOT including transfers.

The only thing that worries me is that the booking you have taken is described as "Flight+Hotel" rather than "Package", but at the top of the booking page it clearly says "Thomson Plus Holiday".

Point out the above to Thomson and if they won't play ball, tell your credit card company that you are not being supplied with what you agreed to purchase.

And please don't say you paid with a debit card to save yourself £25 or so in credit card charges. That £25 is worth a lot in this sort of situation!

BTW I bet you can get the transfers loads cheaper than Thomson are asking in any case. You could probably book a car for a week for that much.

The new Thomsons site is very misleading if transfers are inc it says so on the first page and you get the option to unclick it if you dont want the transfers in the same way as flight meals. They must not offer transfers to Calpe. If they did it would have been £15pp return now its going to cost you about 80 euros each way in a taxi (still cheaper than what Thomsons are offering) or Resort Oppa are doing a shuttle for £35 each return which again is cheaper than Thomsons. I completely agree thoguh this is very bad treatment from them.
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

using resorthoppa you would be paying £70 transfer costs which is for both of you for a return trip .
