The OP who has been asked to be a Guarantor for " Little Johnny "
Or the Landlord handing over the keys to a £150/200,000 property to a student and a bloke working at the local shop/ restaurant or office.
The Landlord wants to rent the property and In as far as he/she can protect that Investment by getting good tenants and Guarantors to pay if the tenants fail to pay rent or wreck the property!0 -

Never trust tenants you don't know.
And beware of their current LLs giving good references to get rid of them. Try and go back further.

I agree.
It is understandable for the LL and LA to want this info.
My advice would be to check out those people you are entrusting that info to.
So by all means give the LL and LA your details, but also get some background on them.
Treat this as if you are going into business with them...0
