Small zips on Primark mens jeans.

Hi,
Is it just me and my imagination or are the zips on Primark mens jeans a lot shorter than they used to be?
Bought a few a number of years ago, they were fine, but latest jeans seem to have a lot shorter zippers that I hate, ended up going to marks and sparks for ones with longer zips.

And darn are they cheap - went into the new primark in Bath - jeans for £9! Wow. I can't say I'm expecting much from them...but worth a punt at £90

Is this a subtle way of saying "look how big I am"?0

It's only cheap because in the UK, we are so used to paying far more for jeans than in many other countries.
Whenever I go to America on holiday, I always stock up on a few pairs of Wrangler jeans and they can generally be picked up for about £11 a pair. (okay, they're not as stylish as Levi's but for me they are perfect jeans for work and gardening).0 -
Beggars can't be choosers.
Buy better (more expensive) jeans.0 -
It's not only Primark. Bought some Jeans from Sainsburys for £10 but the zip are much shorter and the pockets not so deep.
OK for gardening etc. but won't wear them to go out.
Saw a program recently about how things are marketed in the UK particularly clothing and how big brands started. One thing they did was go and visit the Jean manufacturer in somewhere like Indonesia.
Cost about £3 to make including someone putting wear and tear marks in with a grinding wheel and retail for £60-80 in a fashionable 'label' store.
Alongside the 'label' they were manufacturing for a high street chain which retailed for about £15. Minus the distressing!0
