Misco - accidental wrong price and all orders cancelled

Misco this week offered a 10 inch tablet very cheap - open box - they had hundreds of orders and have decided to cancel them. They say it was an error. Funny that, as with another box shifter web site I found it impossible to cancel an order I had made in error despite the fact it had not been sent out yet.

Placing the order is just a request to place an order, not a binding contract, as the customer is just making an offer that can be accepted by the seller.

So they can just cancel all the orders and refund the money. That's what they say they will be doing.

But they will have taken or earmarked the money on the credit card so they can take it if they want.

This is all very one sided by companies like Misco and very mean. I def won't be buying from them again.

Its time this sort of thing got tested in court.
