Check your credit report from Equifax, Experian and Call Credit. It's possible you have a default on one of them, which is causing banks to close your accounts/decline you.
As for going into an overdraft at 17, then refusing to pay it back, you need some sharp, to the point, life lessons. You borrowed the money, so you pay it back. It doesn't matter if you're 17 or 70.

They will never tell you the reason. Do your own research as suggested above.gjoiner181 wrote: »i have already spoke to hsbc and they said that a letter is being sent out, they cannot disclose any information over the phone as it is restricted on there end? is this bad?!0 -

Ask on Credit File & Ratings board how to get your files without a card.
Re the 'default' see, say, Your credit report explained - Experian (p. 11).
If it's a correct record, the only you can do is to have it changed to 'settled' by paying what you owe to Lloyds and making sure that they report this. That said, this is likely to make very little difference if the only record in your credit history is 'default' (settled or not).0 -
