Auto Sec?

My friend got a PCN yesterday, from a company called 'Auto sec'
i tried to search it here but didn't find anything.
He was visiting someone in a block of flats.
Has anyone heard of this private company ? if not what do you think he should do.

Cheers Evela

There are a couple of threads about Autosecurity Limited trading as Autosec on here. Their website says they are BPA members but their website also breaches the BPA CoP. :rotfl:

Your friend should read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page and follow the advice there? It is irrelevant who the PPC was, the process to beat these fake charges is the same. Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving.

Your friend might also find this thread of use.

Also, where was this as the advice is different depending on whether this happened in England and Wales or Scotland and NI. All dealt with in the NEWBIES thread.

Why on earth would he pay when it just needs two emailed/posted appeals which we've already written?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We know about AutoSec. Nasty, very nasty: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Notorious-clamper-Peter-Del-Grosso-Hull-boss-new/story-18076684-detail/story.html

However, the good thing about these thuggish ex-clampers is that they are generally too thick to find their a**e with both hands, so easily defeated with the usual approaches.

The BPA Ltd. ("driving up standards") is happy to harbour a number of convicts and jailbirds among its members. As well as the delightful Mr. del Grosso, there is the company which was fined £30,000 for its misleading actions, the company with a director who was imprisoned for deliberately locking a motorist in a compound and leaving him there, and another company which was convicted of an offence under the CPUTR 2008.

And those are just the ones I know about!
