How do i unlock PSV C500 & C550

Hi guys,

I have an SPV C500 and a C550 that are currently locked to Orange. Anyone knwo how I can network unlock em by myself?

or will i have to go to a market stall etc?

Follow the instructions closely.

Get the Certificate Security on the phone disabled:

Then download the software on Modacos:

Transfer the .cab file to your phone, only AFTER Certificate Security Disabling

Install the cab. (doubleclick it)

Then run the unlocker on your pc : SPVServices.exe

Be aware, this is at the alpha stage, if it screws up your phone, you're on your own.

I used this method for my C500 recently and it worked like a dream. As mentioned before, once the security's disabled on the phone the important thing is to follow the instructons on the modaco page very carefuly, particularly with respect to which files to copy where. It's quite straightforward if you do, good luck with it.

On a related matter, anyone know of a dual sim adapter that they know is compatible with the C500? (Specifically, one that doesn't require cutting the two sims.) I posted a thread on this recently but didn't get any response.
