Some private hospitals let you pay monthly. Spire for example.

Nearly all the surgeons also work full time for the NHS as well though.
£2000 is very cheap, for I am presuming, orthopaedic surgery even under local, though you could probably get an arthroscopy for that.

I am surprised you haven't got anywhere with the NHS, I would have thought they would be keen to help you restore function especially as you are young and active.

Most surgeons I know (lots ,I am a theatre sister) love to get their hands on rare or esoteric conditions.

Moohound - £2000 is'nt the cost of the surgery that is just the amount I need to put in after using my own money.

I dare say if I keep pursuing the NHS I could get somewhere but I am at the stage now where I am fed up waiting etc and just want my life back.

Please can we stay to the point of my post as it is not about my medical situation it is about finding a suitable loan for me. Trust me I have looked at all possible options prior to this.

The clinic finance was not reasonable.

Have you had a look at your free credit file from Noddle, or tried a Natwest soft search for a loan.

Soft searches should give you an indication of whether you might be accepted.

You could try the credit card eligibility checker http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards#preapply , or you could try the nationwide's loan quotation search (these only put a soft search on your credit file, not a credit application search, so wouldn't have an impact on your ability to get accepted by a different lender).

Your bet bet might be your own bank. They will be able to see how you manage your money etc, and have full details of your income/expenditure.

Only you can find the best place, your bank is worth a try. No 1 here can say for sure who will lend to you.

    thanks for the help guys.

I wasn't expecting someone to tell me for sure because obviously that is impossible, I posted in here to see if anyone with experience in a similar situation to mine found out if there were preferable places for me to try first!

Springcoin and On Stride will loan to you.

i got offers from both and i have a terrible credit rating although i do have an excellent salary which may have swung it for me.

have to email them last 30 days bank statements and payslips.

got money from springcoin within 1 hour of being accepted.
