Purchased a new mobile phone contract & there is no signal - what are my rights?
Options
Hoping you can help me. On Sunday 21st September 2014 (10 days ago) I purchased a new mobile phone contract from the Stockport Three Store.
Before I purchased the phone I checked the coverage map and the 3G signal should be very good indoors & outdoors at my postcode. I even got the guy in the store to double check it for me just to be sure. However, in my house I have no signal whatsoever!
I have logged a number of calls with Three and they keep saying they've fixed the issue yet low and behold I still have no signal and they continue to try and fix the issue.
What are my rights with this deal as a phone with no signal at home is pretty useless as nobody can call me or send me SMS's?
Really hope you can provide me with some good advise.

Advice.
Unless it's your phone's fault, they can't fix this issue because lack of signal in the house is beyond their control and very much depends on the house - that's why coverage checkers are useless for indoor signal.
I think you don't have any rights to to return or cancel, especially after 10 days.

Try persuading them to give/sell you their 'Home Signal' booster, but I am not sure that they supply them ATM.
P.S. have a look at Three 'in Touch" app for smartphones for over wifi calling and texting.0 -
As far as I was aware if your paying for a service your not receiving due to no fault of your own then you can legally get out of the contract.
I did this was orange a few years ago, and I'm in the process of doing it with bt im paying well I was paying for a service I didn't receive - I was paying for their Internet adsl not fibre, it was that slow it was unable to load up Web pages half the time.
Their customer was awful so they've billed me for the equipment and ending the contract early, they won't get a penny off me they'll get there equipment back and I've paid my bill up to date but they won't get anything extra.0 -
Some might disagree on the bt issue but if it's that slow that you have to disconnect from your adsl and connect to your phones 3G signal just to open a Web page or stream Netflix then I believe I'm paying for a service that isn't realistic usable unless your just sending emails0

No network will guarantee a service everywhere.
You have a phone/SIM which works but unfortunately for you not where you wish it to.
Unless you can prove that you were mis-sold then I can't see that you have any recourse in complaining to Three.0 -

Yes i can outside just not in the house.
No network will guarantee service inside a specific house, otherwise a person could move into a lead lined room and then demand cancellation.
Ask Three to supply you with a Home Signal box, it will basically set up a microcell inside your house and will give you a full signal indoors.====0 -
large stone and metal effects signal.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
