Can you switch to PAYG & keep your number?
I have two phone contracts both with E2Save/Carphone Warehouse/02 currently just entering their last month so I'm wondering what to do now. My husband doesn't make many calls on his I'm thinking of switching to PAYG on his handset, so giving the month's notice. He wants to keep the telephone number though. Is that possible? Is it only possible if you stay with 02, or could he switch to Orange? I don't think the phone is locked to a network because it was bought from E2S/CPW
I use the 2nd phone and my phone use if probably borderline between PAYG & contract. I could probably use it less than I do though as sometimes I use it towards the end of the month instead of the landline. My current contract gives 120 M & 80 T a month. A good cashback deal would probably make a contract more desirable. Again, I want to keep my number. Would prefer to either stick with 02 or move back to Orange.
Any advice gratefully received.

Yes you can switch to payg, you need to request a PAC code, recently done this with O2 and they sent me a payg sim pack aswell. Received a letter with the pac code, i could call O2 and transfer it to the O2 payg or to another network's payg if i wanted.
On another note some cashback offers don't allow you to transfer your number to it (but you can transfer the new number once the contract has ended)SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250
