Check this recent thread: Any alternatives to EuropaSim for heavy data usage in Europe?
For calls check Togglemobile, but they are no good for data.0 -

A friend has come up with http://masmovil.es/en/rates-prepaid/ For €10/£7 I get 50 mins and 1Gb data which meets my needs. Still open to other suggestions though.0

Looks like you can only order it online if you live in Spain.0 -
I've not been to Barcelona, but when I visit friends in Torrevieja, there are quite a few bars and shopping centres with free WiFi, which could avoid the need for a data bundle entirely. Obviously without local knowledge it's only a guess as to the location and performance.I'm off to Barcelona in December and looking for a data heavy SIM for the five days I'm away. Looking for an hour talktime and upto 1Gb data to be on the safe side.
Any recomendations?
The La Zenia shopping centre (to the south of Torrevieja) has very good free WiFi, Habaneras in Torrevieja has slow but workable WiFi. There are several small bars with good WiFi too. None that I found needed the pain in the rear registration that most UK ones need, the shopping centres were completely open, the small bars usually needed the security code from the staff.0 -

I got one of these last year when I went to Spain. (Smart 12 - 1gb data).
Lent it to a workmate who also went later on in the year. It just needed topping up.

After much searching for deals it ended up proving fruitelss as Tesco want £20 to unlock the handset so I can use another SIM in the handset so by time I've bought the SIM and paid them £20 I'll be better off being careful with the data usage and blagging as much wi-fi as possible.0
